Black Rockfish - Sebastes melanops | ||
Alias : Black Sea Bass, Black Bass |
The Black Rockfish is black on the back, becoming mottled gray on the sides with a white belly. Blacks live all over the British Columbia coast. You can catch them at the surface down to 300 feet, and are often found in midwater. Food items include : small herring, perch, shrimp, and various crustaceans. Jigs, buzzbombs, Gibbs Minnows and any metal jig work to catch these scrappy fighters. | ||
